At the Canberra Hospital, the Tiny Star Beads program is offered to all babies admitted to the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit.
For every medical procedure, beads can be collected from the Family Room of the Special Care Nursery, where a dedicated team is situated once a week. For more information, please chat with your nurse, or phone at the number provided below.
Little Beads and Tiny Beads
The Tiny Star Beads program offers babies little rewards for their medical procedures in the form of unique beads. The beads, when strung together, will help to tell the story of each baby’s personal medical journey.
The string of beads will become a very special memento for the babies and their families, and a symbol of pride and courage for all the challenges that they overcame.
